Hello amazing followers... if I even have any left. Well folks it's been a very long time. Time I've spent stuffing my face and not sharing with you guys. However don't worry, be happy, the time has arrived for another food post. Got plenty to talk about (I think). I'll start you off with TORO’s Manchester.  TORO’s claimed and has proved to those who have eaten there that they provide tasty steaks that you’ll never forget. The question is, how they will face against the mighty manly man. Lbh I'm too easy on people.

So post Eid me and me pals ended up sitting at TORO’s for a nice meal. They got us seated quickly and we managed to get our order in pretty quickly too. (When I say quickly I actually mean 15 mins, as it took me this long to decide between the T-Bone and the sirloin). I did rub my finger across the table and chairs (proper critic like) and found some dust, but ey up, what you don’t know can’t hurt you. And not long after we ordered, the food turned up. Around 15 mins I say they took, even though it was busy. Now that is something to be proud of. Can’t keep a man waiting.

So out came my steak sizzling on chips and pasta accompanied by a mocktail. Visually appealing and very posh I have to say. So I dug in, the meat was well cooked just as I asked and had good texture and taste. The mushroom sauce was nice too (maybe not as nice as a few others I've had).  But I think the pasta was too bland for my liking as you have to scrounge for every little bit of the mushroom sauce to get some flavour once you’re steak is finished. However overall the combination of the drinks, steak and visual appearance of the food works well and is very appealing (apart from the price). I actually want to go back!!!

So time to get to the technical stuffs… First of all, I have no complaints about customer service, we were seated quickly and everything ran smoothly. So they've already achieved 10/10 for that.  In terms of cleanliness, I did realise the food on the floor from the previous customers and don’t forget the dust too. Overall the place looked clean and tidy, but these little things matter and need to cleaned. It’s all part of the experience, therefore they only get a 7/10 for hygiene. The price score is important for many people; even though it cost us around £17 per person, the price was fair for what you get. I've been to other places which have charged a lot more for just a steak and standard drink, never mind the mocktails we ordered. So this place racks a 8/10 (why not 10? Because I like bargains, this wasn't!). The appearance gets 10/10 (you’ll see in the pictures) and taste gets 8/10 as they need to improve the size and taste of the steak sauce that came with the stuff.

Finally the main question! The question that hasn't let you folks sleep all week, the fireworks of the party. Did I dribble enough to wet my clothes? Did I lick my fingers 3 times after id finished? WAS THE FOOD MANLY ENOUGH? The answer to most the questions is no. I was still hungry after I finished, and like the fat sod I am, I popped into Deli sweet centre for some freshly cooked Jalebis. So just 7/10 for that.

Keep following the blog and share it with your friends... lots more to come soon.

Thanks

A Manly Man
